USA, CO: Riff Raff Brewing Company announces closure of original downtown Pagosa Springs location
Riff Raff Brewing Company (RRBC) has announced the closure of its original downtown Pagosa Springs location at 274 Pagosa Street on September 30, 2024.
After 11 successful and memorable years bringing craft food and beer to the heart of downtown Pagosa Springs, RRBC will consolidate operations to its riverside location at Riff Raff on the Rio at 356 East Pagosa Street, while it continues to serve valued customers with the same dedication to quality and community.
The Rio location, the new primary hub for all Riff Raff Brewing activities, will offer an expanded selection of signature food dishes and brews along with the relaxed atmosphere and stunning views on the banks of the San Juan River. The original Riff Raff Brewing location will still host a small amount of brewing activities for RRBC.
“We look forward to the next chapter for Riff Raff Brewing Company,” said Jason Cox, co- founder and Chief Executive Officer at Riff Raff Brewing Company. “This move allows us to strengthen our core while providing an opportunity for a new venture in the original Riff Raff building.”
Local restauranteurs Bart Schidecker and Christie Bonamassa will take over Riff Raff Brewing’s downtown space in late October. Known for their popular Pagosa Springs eatery, Black Bart’s Brunch, Christie and Bart bring a creative culinary vision to the historic location, offering a unique delivery and dining experience sure to delight both locals and visitors alike.

Riff Raff Brewing Company invites everyone to stop by on closing weekend September 28-29 and celebrate 11 years at the downtown location, 274 Pagosa Street. The closing weekend includes fundraising for local non-profits, live music, the primary reveal of the Riff Raff Brewing Company brand and the release of all six new and updated flagship beer labels.
