South Africa: SABMiller's interim profit is forecast to rise 15%
SABMiller is expected to post a rise in first-half profit on November 10 on increased demand in South Africa and Eastern Europe, according to a survey of seven analysts by Bloomberg News.
The survey predicted net income at the world's third-largest brewer would climb 15 percent to $659 million (R4.45 billion) on a 7.1 percent rise in sales to $7.69 billion.
On October 12 the company said global lager volumes rose 5 percent in the six months to September. European volumes gained 5 percent as SABMiller sold more beer in Poland and South African sales advanced 3 percent.
