Ukraine: Barley harvest is progressing

According to operative data as of July 18, Ukraine’s barley was harvested from the area of 754,800 hectares, which makes 17 % of the forecast, and obtained 1.56 million tonnes of the grain, AgriMarket.Info cited the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Barley average yield continues to decline, as of July 14 it made 2.06 tonnes per hectare.

As of July 18, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 7.57 million tonnes of early grains from 26 % of the forecast area.

Wheat has been harvested from 2.14 million hectares (32 percent of the forecast) and obtained 5.75 million tonnes of grain at the average yield 2.68 tonnes per hectare.
