USA, IN: Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom set to open its doors in Hammonds Hessville district
Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom is bringing craft beer and new jobs to Hammonds Hessville neighborhood, Northwest Indiana Business Magazine reported on September 22.
Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom, a microbrew pub and neighborhood tavern, is set to open its doors in the heart of Hammonds Hessville district. The brewery will feature an array of different beers. It will offer traditional styles and new experimental styles of fruit beer, brewed on-site.
Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom is in the former Hose Connections building. The building was constructed in 1941 as a tavern and bowling alley.
The new brewery will create 10 to 15 new jobs for residents. Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott praised the project as a welcome addition to the citys growing business landscape.
Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom is exactly the type of investment we love to see in Hammond, McDermott said in a press release. Hessville has a rich history and a strong sense of pride. We are thrilled Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom is reinvesting into our Hammond community.
We wanted to create a space where great beer meets great community, Mike Glowacki, founder and owner of Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom, said. Our goal is to celebrate that spirit while offering something unique to Hammonda true gathering place for friends, neighbors and beer enthusiasts.
Foreign Local Brewery and Taproom is at 671618 Kennedy Avenue in Hammond.
