Russia: Anheuser-Busch and Heineken launched production of Bud beer in Russia

Interfax released November 14th that Anheuser-Busch and Heineken have launched the production of Bud beer in Russia, the two companies said in a joint press release.

Heineken and Anheuser-Busch signed a licensing agreement in March 2006 enabling Heineken to produce and sell beer under the Bud trademark in Russia. Production of Bud beer will take place at Heineken's brewery in St. Petersburg. Bud will be sold in high-class bars and restaurants in large Russian cities.
