Brewing news Iceland: First microbrewery to launch beer in bottles in a few days

Beers from the first microbrewery in Iceland, Bruggsmidjan, will be available in stores next week, reports issued October 08. The brewery started production on 22 August, and the first tasting was offered at Bruggsmidjan last week, and now the first beer Kaldi will be available on bottles.

Bruggsmidjan is located in the town Árskógssandur in north-east Iceland.

Agnes Sigurdardóttir and her husband has worked day and night to get the brewery running, since she got the idea in July last year .

Kaldi is brewed according to a Czech tradition, and stored a month before tapping.
