Spain: Barley harvesting campaign completed

The barley harvest is over in Spain, analyst estimated August 01. Crop estimates range from 7.2 to 8.2 million tons vs. 4.5 million tons a year ago. Quality of feed barley shows the effect of sun and dryness, grains are shriveled. Malting barley, grown in the north and on irrigated fields, is of fair quality. Imports of malting barley may reach 100,000 tons.
