India: GM Breweries Ltd posted a net profit of Rs13.45 crore for the 12 months ended March 2006

GM Breweries Ltd has announced an over 999 percent rise in net profit at Rs13.45 crore for the 12 months to Mar 2006, India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge announced August 05.

Sales grew by 94 percent to Rs202.15 crore, operating profit, by 374 percent to Rs24.85 crore and profit before depreciation and tax, by 746 percent to Rs22.33 crore. Equity capital base was Rs9.36 crore and earnings per share, Rs14.4.

The company announced 15 percent dividend for 2005-2006. For the quarter to Mar 2006, the company reported a 246 percent increase in net profit at Rs7.37 crore. Sales grew by 46 percent to Rs43.65 crore, operating profit, by 247 percent to Rs12.26 crore and profit before depreciation and tax, by 317 percent to Rs11.68 crore. Its share price as on 12 Jun 2006 was Rs90 and price earnings ratio, 6.3. Its 52-week high/low was 238/32.
