India: United Breweries Ltd announced net profit up 255% for the 12 months ended March 2006
United Breweries Ltd has announced a 255 percent rise in net profit at Rs49.43 crore for the 12 months to March 2006, India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge released August 05.
Sales grew by 26 percent to Rs648.08 crore, operating profit, by 212 percent to Rs99.69 crore and profit before depreciation and tax, by 161 percent to Rs92.91 crore.
Equity capital base was Rs21.68 crore and earnings per share, Rs2.3.
The company announced 15 percent dividend for 2005-2006. For the quarter to March 2006, the company reported a 22 percent increase in net profit at Rs21.22 crore.
Sales grew by 64 percent to Rs208.54 crore, operating profit, by 466 percent to Rs36.59 crore and profit before depreciation and tax, by 70 percent to Rs33.77 crore. Its share price as on 12 Jun 2006 was Rs105 and price earnings ratio, 45.9. Its 52-week high/low was 202/42.
