Production of wine dropped 42 percent in Moldova in the first half of this year, to US$75.8 million, RBC reported July 25.
Production of distilled alcohol products fell 20 percent, to US$20.1 million, and tobacco production was down 8 percent to US$11.5 million. At the same time, production of beer increased 10 percent, at US$17.8 million.
