Ukraine: Obolon upgraded market share to 27.5%
Obolon beer sales increased by 18.8% to 950,000 hl in June. 2006 to date sales amounted 4.3 million hl, by 23% more year-on-year, The Union of Russian Brewers informed July 11.
Obolon share of Ukrainian beer output recorded 32.6% showing an improvement of 2.5% in June 2006. Its domestic market share upgraded by 2.7% to 27.5%.
Ukraine beer production raised by 15% year-on-year through the first 6 months of 2006. During this period of time, Obolon raised production volumes by 23%. Accordingly, its market share augmented by 2.7% to 28.1%. Within this period the company contributed by 34.2% (+2.2%) to the national beer output.
In addition, “Obolon” envisages to enhance exports of beer. The company increased its shipments to overseas by 14.6% during 2006 1H. 85.1% of Ukrainian beer exports are presently “Obolon” exports.
