USA & Germany: InBev USA conducts agency review of imported Beck’s
InBev USA is conducting an agency review for the global advertising account for German import Beck’s, reports said July 06.
Leo Burnett USA agency currently holds the account. US$40million to US$50 million are spent by InBev on Beck's advertising worldwide, the report said.
Leo Burnett confirmed: "We're proud of our strong, business-building work on Beck's behalf and will aggressively defend the global assignment."
Even if Beck’s is the ninth biggest import with about 2.1% market share, it lost almost a half point of its market share over the past five years. Presently, InBev is facing a 3.6% decline in Beck’s shipments to USA to 540,000 barrels.
