The German brewer owned by Brau und Brunnen, Rostocker Brauerei, celebrated on March 28th its 125th anyversary and changed its name to Hanseatische Brauerei Rostock. By associating to the Hanse the brewer wants to improve its international image, the company said. "The Hanse was an alliance of peace and understanding between people... With the new name, we are crossing the borders of Rostock while at the same time staying true to our origin," said Wolfgang Buss, sales and marketing director.
