USDA: World barley trade changes in 2006/2007 and 2005/2006
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) published on June 12 its latest forecast and estimation of world barley trade in 2006/2007and 2005/2006:
2006/2007 Russian barley exports is raised by USDA 500,000 tons to 2.0 million on a larger expected crop.
2006/2007 Tunisia barley imports is raised 300,000 tons to 500,000 and Morocco barley imports is raised 150,000 tons to 400,000 as a result of smaller expected production in these markets.
TRADE CHANGES IN 2005/2006 Selected Exporters
2005/2006 Russia barley export is raised by USDA by 300,000 tons to 1.6 million as late-season exports have been stronger than anticipated.
2005/2006 EU-25 barley export is lowered by 400,000 tons to 2.9 million on the slow issuance of export licenses or sales of intervention supplies for export.
