World: The latest market events on the barley market
The EU Grains Management Committee rejected bids this week to export free market barley but approved release of 43.37 thousand metric tonnes of intervention barley stocks (Hungary and Slovakia) at a min. selling price of 90.01 Euro/t.
Japanese MAFF purchased 5 thousand metric tonnes of Canadian food barley this week. Japan will tender for 250 thousand metric tonnes of feed barley under their Simultaneous Buy Sell import system on June 16.
