Canada: Barley acreage estimates for 2006

A recent study conducted in the field of world crop sand markets assumed that Canada's first official crop estimate gives a barley acreage of 4.2 Million. Ha, 5.3 % lower than a year ago, of which Manitoba 404,000 Ha, plus 11.1 %, Saskatchewan 1.7 Mill. Ha, minus 12.5 %, Alberta 1,797 Mill. Ha, minus 1.3 %.
