Brewing news Ukraine: Sarmat announces positive results in April 2006

The Ukrainian Brewer Sarmat has increased production by 37% (or by 0.886 million dal) to 3.306 million dal in April 2006 against April 2005. The brewer increased equally its bear sales by 19% to 2,876 million dal in comparison to April 2005, The Union of Russian Brewers communicated May 16.

Sarmat has demonstrated April this year a general 19% growth. “Our success is due namely to our newly “Drive Max” brand release, which has yet acquired 0.3% of the market, doubled by the implementation of the unique “Missile” bottle, the successive redesign of the label and the supply optimisation through larger retail covering.

In addition to that, we invest money in marketing support, we sponsor retailers’ motivating campaigns and we invest in training the company’s and our partners’ personnel ", - the sales manager of Sarmat Michael Grankin has confessed.

Grankin has added that last April figures showed further sales increment in the regional approach, namely a 15% rise in the East, 8% increase in the Centre region, 3% rise in the West. The brewer’s exports in April 2006 have reached 328% against April 2005.

During January-April 2006, the Sarmat group facilities have augmented the production by 18% (or by 1.214 million dal) to 7.861 million dal in comparison to the same period of the last year.

The beer sales have increased similarly in January-April 2006 by 9% (or by 0.631 million dal) to 7.293 million dal against the similar period of 2005.
