The Krasnoyarsk brewer “Pikra” has increased capacities by 40 %, officials of “Pikra” released on April 28.

On the same date “Pikra” has finished one of stages of the investment program of 2006 and has commissioned 8 new conic-piston tanks (CPT) of known German company "Ziemann ". Daniel Briman, vice-president of Baltika Brewing Company and Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region have attended to the inauguration ceremony of the new equipment.

The company board plans to modernize the production ant the administrative-household complex according to the “Pikra” 2006 investment program, additionally to the introduction of new capacities. This year overall funding of the investment program will cover 8.5 m Euros.

Daniil Briman, vice-president of Baltika Brewing Company and the chairman of board of directors of “Pikra” says: “The introduction of new capacities represent a new stage in the development of the company. The fulfillment of the investment plan was made possible thanks to the mergers between Pikra and other VVN Holding company members: ”Baltika”, “Vena” and “Yarpivo”. In addition to that, the investment environment in Krasnoyarsk was appropriate enough to make it possible, as a result of the very accurate politics conducted by the region administration.

Owing to the introduction of new CPT the company’s capacities will increase from 1.4 m hl to 2 m hl annually. This will provide the needed balance between the brewing and the fermentation capacities, optimizing subsequently the production process.

The project was concluded in a very small period of time - the construction of the future production facility was accomplished in the middle of the last September. The new CPT were gathered and mounted directly on the place in Krasnoyarsk. The work was conducted in a very severe regime - outside temperature was often 40° C below zero.
