Moldova: Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery launches new product

The country's biggest beer producer, Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, has launched the output of a new variety of light-color beer - Chisinau Draft, the company announced on April 11, according to Infotag.

Jacob Tihman, the company’s General Director told a presentation on April 11 that special sorts of hop were used to create this beer, so the new product has come to have a very original taste differing noticeably from other beer kinds produced in this republic.

Chisinau Draft is a light-color beer having an alcohol content of 5% and density of 12%. It is sold in 0.5-liter glass bottles and in kegs. It has been on sale in Moldova since April 11 at retail prices of 6-7 lei a bottle.

In 2005, Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery produced 110 million liters of beer and soft drinks worth $37.5 million, including 7.76 million liters of beer on draft. Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, investing annually $7-10 million in its development, is a part of the Efes Beverage Group whose production enterprises work in Serbia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Romania, and in Moldova.
