Germany: Bitburger increased its beer sales abroad
Bitburger, Germany’s second largest independent brewery, announced on February 15 that its yearly net turnover remained stable in the financial year 2005 at 389 millions Euro, according to Input Aktuell. Total sales decreased by 1% from 4.12 million hl in 2004 to 4.08 million hl in 2005.
With 1,13 million hl Bitburger remains the number one in the German catering trade market. World-wide Bitburger is represented in nearly 44,000 catering trade objects (previous year: 42,500).
247,492 hl of Bitburger beer brand was exported world-wide in 2005 compared to 243,000 hl in 2004.
