Canada: Geoff Molson named as vice-president in charge of customer marketing and events for Quebec
Geoff Molson, a seventh-generation member of Canada's heritage brewing family, is returning to Canada after five years in the United States, Brunswick News and Canadian Press communicated on February 15.
The 35-year-old son of Molson Coors Brewing Co. chairman Eric Molson was named Tuesday as vice-president in charge of customer marketing and events for Quebec. He previously was vice-president of sales for Molson USA.
He now will be responsible for "all promotional activities in bars, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, including all events and brand sponsorship activities," said a statement from Molson Coors Canada.
Molson brands, which date back to 1786, have sponsorship arrangements with more than 400 sports and entertainment enterprises and events in Quebec, including the Montreal Alouettes, Montreal Canadiens, FrancoFolies de Montreal and the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
"I am thrilled to return to Montreal to work with such a dynamic team," Geoff Molson stated. "I hope to have the chance to get to know our clients and partners as early as possible and look forward to sharing with them our upcoming projects and our passion for beer," he said.
