UK: “Scottish Courage” is changing its name into “Scottish & Newcastle UK”
Scottish & Newcastle announced on January 4 it is changed the name of its UK brewing business from Scottish Courage to Scottish & Newcastle UK.
The company said the change from a title adopted following the takeover of Courage in 1995, was "to simplify our trading identity and to harmonise with other S&N businesses in an expanding international organisation".
"The new name has been used in internal communications for several months and we now feel the time is right to complete the change," according to S&N.
