Brewing news Russia: Beer advertising during international broadcasting should be permitted

Beer brands can be advertised during international broadcasting, considers Valery Draganov, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, according to RBC and Russian Beer Union. “If during broadcasting bottles and glasses are shown on TV, one should reconcile oneself with it”, said Deputy to journalists at the briefing devoted to the oncoming consideration of redrafted law “On Advertising” in the second reading.

“I will ask my colleagues to support this point of view”, said the Head of the Duma Committee. V. Draganov admitted that he was very concerned about the fact that the broadcasting of the international competitions sponsored by beer companies could be failed. According to his words the question involves the international image of Russia. Even if our channels broadcast recorded matches and games, there will be no money to compensate the cut out advertisement, supposes V. Draganov.
