Brewing news Mexico: Home brew concentrate producing a Mexican style beer released by Coopers

Beer lovers keen on popular Mexican style beers can now enjoy their favourite drink at a fraction of the cost of the imported product – by making their own. A new home brew concentrate producing a Mexican style beer ideal for summer drinking has just been released by Coopers Brewery according to its announcement of December 20.

Coopers Mexican Cerveza concentrate produces a beer displaying a subtle bitterness that emulates the flavour of popular imported Mexican beers.

The new concentrate, which is part of Coopers’ International Series, is available through major supermarket chains and retailers across Australia.

Coopers Marketing Manager, Brewing Products, Mr Scott Harris, said Mexican Cerveza was a quintessential summertime beer.

“Mexican Cerveza is perfect for the warmer months and is best enjoyed ice cold with a wedge of lemon or lime. It has been specifically developed for use with Coopers Brew Enhancer 2 to maximise results,” he said.

“We expect Mexican Cerveza will develop a strong following with home brewers keen to diversify their range with international flavours and regional beer styles.”Coopers is the world’s largest producer of home brew concentrates and currently has 17 different beer styles to choose from, as well as a ginger beer that can be brewed to be either alcoholic or non alcoholic.

The concentrates include the original series of Lager, Draught, Stout, Real Ale, Bitter and Dark Ale and the International Series which includes Canadian Blonde, Bavarian Lager and Australian Pale Ale.

Coopers also produce a premium range of home brew kits under the Thomas Cooper brand. This range is only available from specialist home brew stores and includes flavours like Heritage Lager, Traditional Draught, Australian Bitter and Sparkling Ale.

The Thomas Cooper Brewmaster Series, which includes India Pale Ale, Wheat Beer, Irish Stout and Pilsener, is also available from specialist home brew stores.
