Belgium: Duvel Moortgat is to build a 900,000 hl brewery in Belgium
Belgian beer manufacture, Duvel Moortgat is to invest EUR10 million (US$11.8 million) on setting up a new brewery, Belgian daily De Standaard communicated on December 8.
Duvel Moortgat, plans to build a site with a maximum capacity of 900,000 hectolitres. The brewers first site in Belgium was built in 1971 with a capacity of 360,000 hectolitres.
According to the source, Duvel also plans to expand its production facilities at its US subsidiary, Ommegang.
