EU: Enquiries on malt prices evolution

Analysts believe that a major question will be, whether price levels of malt will follow firmer barley markets and the explosion of cost of energy.

Two-row spring barley had sold FOB Antwerp, in bulk in ocean vessel, at EUR 220.-/225.- some months ago, now market prices of EUR 230.-/235.- are reported, but analysts’ calculated price is much closer to EUR 250.- per tonne.
