EU: Expected mood of Drinktec fair in Munich

Analysts believe that when the industry will meet at the “Drinktec” fair of Munich in a few days’ time, its mood will be low. Once more, most of Europe did not have beer garden summer, local shipments of malt disappointed, export shipments were dramatically low.

Malt sales for 2006, which were, done at bad counter margins, became worse with higher levels of malting barley markets and a much higher cost of energy.
