Brewing news UK: Russian brewery Ochakovo begins exports to Albion

In August Moscow near-beer brewery “Ochakovo” begun exporting to Britain. The first containers with beer and kvass Ochakovo were sent to this country. “Ochakovo” made two contracts with two big distributor companies that, using their knowledge of local market, made up the first order, according to the Russian Brewers Union.

Now, the stores presenting Russian products will trade in “Ochakovo” beer in plastic package and kvass “Ochakovsky”, Russian national bars and restaurants “Zhiguliovskoye”, a well-known soviet brand, in English pubs it will be possible to taste “Ochakovo Premium Svetloye”.

‘Such emphasis on the HoReCa channel was laid deliberately, - Ochakovo sales director Viacheslav Merculov comments, - it is pubs and restaurants where up to 80% of all beer in England is consumed.’ Ochakovo drinks will be delivered to the adjoining Ireland too.

It is worth of noting that Ochakovo drinks are familiar to the citizens of the Albion: earlier these were delivered from the adjoining Germany. Now the drinks will be purveyed directly and regularly, while the sales will be supported by POS-advertising data.
