Barley exports from Rouen port of France amounted to 6.4KMT for the first 10 days of August, according to port Netherlands: Heineken doesn’t give up on China’s Kingway brewery

Netherlands’ Heineken said on August 24, it was still interested in China Kingway Brewery . after talks about possibly increasing its stake in the Chinese beer maker were discontinued, according to Reuters.

A Heineken spokeswoman said "The talks have been discontinued for the time being, but we remain interested".

Heineken is competing with global rivals such as Anheuser-Busch and SABMiller to expand its share of China's beer market, the world's largest by volume.

Earlier on August 24, Kingway said in an announcement that its parent company, GDH Ltd., said no significant progress had been made in the discussions with Heineken, which is eyeing a bigger presence in the China.
