USA: Seattle-based Pyramid Breweries links its results to Portland Brewing brands acquisition
Pyramid Breweries Inc. from Seattle announced second-quarter net income of $168,000, or 2 cents a share, up from $145,000, also 2 cents a share, a year ago, Seattle Post communicated on August 9. Net sales rose 25 percent to $13 million. The Seattle-based specialty brewer said the increase was the result of the acquisition of brands from Portland Brewing as well as growth in West Coast markets. Pyramid also said it is no longer seeking a third-party brewing contract for its Seattle facility, and is considering other cost-savings measures.
