Colombia: Colombian peso opens up 0.63 % on brewery deal

Colombia's peso opened up 0.63 % on Tuesday, July 19, on news that SABMiller Plc was buying South America's No. 2 brewer Bavaria SA for $4.8 billion, traders said.

The peso opened at 2,301 per U.S. dollar from Monday's close of 2,315.55, before easing back to 2,310 shortly afterwards.
