Ukraine: Barley prices tend upwards

Ukrainian feed barley prices are increasing. APK-Inform experts say market operators quote prices at 640 UAH/t ($127 per tonne) on CPT-port basis.

On the ex-farm terms prices for new crop barley were in the range of 500-550 UAH/t ($99-109 per tonne).

Many barley producers show wait and see attitude to selling, they hope for further price growth.

According to operative data of MinAP, as of July 7 Ukraine obtained 686,000 tonnes of barley (7% of the forecast) at the average yield 2.27 tonnes per ha.
