UK: Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries plc controls over 90% of Jennings Brothers plc
Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries PLC said it plans to compulsorily acquire the remaining shares in Jennings Brothers PLC after taking control of more than 90 % of the Lake District brewer and pub operator.
By 3.00 pm on June 14, Wolverhampton & Dudley had received acceptances on about 85.6 % of 9,120,415 Jennings's shares and had bought a further 6.37 pct on the open market. The company also holds 0.09 % via a subsidiary.
