Australia: 2004/2005 malt exports from Australia are forecast at 538.5 thousand tonnes
2004/2005 Malt exports from Australia, the worlds second largest malt exporter after EU, are forecast by IGC at 538.5 thousand tonnes, about 13% of world malt trade. In January 2005 IGC forecast for Australia malt export was of 553.8 thousand tonnes. Now the malt demand in some Asian markets has declined. In 2003/2004 Australia exported 547.7 thousand tonnes of malt.
