Malting news EU: Malt exports pace slows to align with 2021/22 levels

EU malt exports pace has slowed to align with levels from 2021/22 when the pandemic slowdown persisted, RMI Analytics said in their early December report.

Belgium continues to lead exports (274.5 thousand tonnes), with France moving sharply higher to gain 2nd place (231.6 thousand tonnes).

For destinations, Brazil retains the top position of malt imports (98.8 thousand tonnes), with volumes expanding along with Cameroon, while Japan and South Africa tonnes slip.
