USA, OR: Sunriver Brewing Co. to close westside Bend location
Demolition of the building that housed the former Boss Rambler in Bend will cause Sunriver Brewing Co. to close its operations next door, the Bend Bulletin reported on October 23.
The last day of operations at Sunriver Brewing on Galveston Avenue is Nov. 1, said Ken Cameron, company CEO. The brewer opted to suspend operations at its westside pub because it wasnt possible to operate during the construction, Cameron said.
Due to the extensive construction project planned for the neighboring property, we will close, Cameron said. We will be on the lookout for another Bend location if the right opportunity arises. We want to thank the community and our incredible staff for making the location a success over the years.
The Galveston Supply building next door is being developed by RSM Investments. Construction began this summer on the property and developers plan to build a 12,000-square-foot, mixed-use building that will combine retail and office space.
While we are sad to have to close the Galveston chapter we are very excited about our other locations including Sunriver and eastside, which have had record years, Cameron said. Our new Redmond location is off to a great start.
Sunriver Brewing Co. launched in 2012 and after Nov. 1 will have five locations operating in Eugene, Sunriver, East Bend, Redmond and Sunriver.
