Canada: Lakeport Brewing Corp. has reached a three-year contract with the Teamsters union representing about 115 of its 200 employees, Canadian Press posted on April 18. Details weren't immediately released Monday, but Teresa Cascioli, president of the Hamilton-based beer company, said "this is great news for Lakeport, our employees, their families and especially for our thousands of loyal drinkers who have helped Lakeport change Ontario's beer market."

Craig McInnes, business representative for the union, said Teamsters Local union 938 was proud to be a part of Lakeport's success story and "the new contract meets the objectives of the labour force and keeps jobs in Ontario, specifically Hamilton."
