Russia & Ukraine: In the first quarter of 2005 Russian beer production increased by 8% compared to the same period last year, Russian Beer Union posted on April 18.

Analysts said Russia and Ukraine continue their beer success story also in early 2005. Russian and Ukrainian output in January/February was up 7-8%. The Ukraine purchased around 15.000 tonnes of Slovak malt in March.
