USA: Beer demand situation rather dismal in July, report says
The July data from the US continues to illustrate a rather dismal beer demand situation, with the Total Index trailing year-ago levels, RMI Analytics said in their latest report.
Beer imports are down nearly 50%, while craft volumes remain the lowest segment (partially impacted by larger brewers divesting from craft).
Premium brands are down, while below premium are more stable. FMBs and cider are the only growing segments, supported by the changing consumer preferences, it is reported.
