Malting news EU: Malt exports slowing further as crop year 2024/25 shipping season draws to an end

As the crop 2024/25 shipping season draws to a conclusion, EU-27 malt exports are slowing further. The current year is now trailing crop 2023/24 by -4.7%, and -8.0% to crop 2020/23, RMI Analytics reported.

The top five malt exporting countries are led by Belgium, followed in order by France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.

The key importing countries are led by Brazil despite a dramatic drop (due to new local capacity), followed by Japan, UK, Nigeria, and South Africa.
