USA: Hop acreage seen 6% smaller this year
According to the updated NASS figures from June, the total hop acreage in the US is estimated at 17,092 hectares in 2025. This is 6% less than the 18,123 hectares harvested last year.
For comparison, the total hop acreage in Germany will be 18,962 hectares, HVG said in their July newsletter.
Washington hop area is reported at 12,825 hectares, 5% less than 2024. Idaho is expected to see a 12% decrease, and Oregon a 4% decrease this year.
