USA, MI: Leighs Brewing Co. already serving Holland Township
After announcing plans last year to open in the former Hopland Brewstillery, the long-awaited Leighs Brewing Co. is now serving Holland Township, MLive.com reported on May 23.
The family enterprise at 977 Butternut Drive, Suite 4, is run by Jessica Ringling, her sister Laurel and their parents Lee and Mary. The name of the business comes from the sisters shared middle name Leigh.
Leighs Brewing hosted a soft opening May 14 with an amazing turnout, Jessica Ringling said. The brewery opened with a small list of five beers on tap but is adding new ones every week.
We really appreciate the community for coming out, giving their support and giving their opinions, she said.
The brewstillery also serves cocktails and a limited menu of in-house spirits, including vodka, rum and agave spirit made with 100% blue agave.
In the place of an in-house food menu, Leighs Brewing is partnering with its neighbor restaurants. Fusion Thai, right next door, has a menu of specials just for Leighs Brewing. Patrons are welcome to bring in their own food from other nearby restaurants such as Peppinos Pizza.
Theres more yet to come at Leighs Brewing, including a wine list and daily events, starting with trivia night planned for Wednesday, June 4.
