USA, CA: Freewheel Brewing to debut location in San Rafael

According to a recently submitted permit application, Bay Area-based business Freewheel Brewing plans to debut a new location in San Rafael, WhatNow reported on April 14.

Coming to 924 B Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as the cocktail Bar California Gold, the Italian restaurant Il David, and Uchiwa Ramen.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Freewheel, the eatery offers a brief introduction on its website: “Welcome to Freewheel Brewing Company, where tradition meets innovation in the heart of our craft. Established in 2012, our mission has been to seamlessly fuse the time-honored brewing traditions of England with the vibrant spirit of American craft beer.

“The brewery started a journey with a passion for British-style brewing, which led to commission brewery from a UK manufacturer,” the statement continues. “Our brewery was crafted in Bury, Lancashire (famous for black pudding) in 2012.”

“Originally founded by four friends, the brewery underwent a significant transition in 2023 when new ownership took over with a vision to improve and expand our unique and delicious offerings.”

What Now San Francisco briefly spoke with one of the concept’s new owners, Chirag Dangi, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet.
