USA, PA: South County Brewing Company expected to launch in Lancaster in the coming weeks

A Pennsylvania-based brewing company that will soon replace the former home of The Press Room, is expected to open its doors in the coming weeks.

ABC27 News reported back in November 2024 when the South County Brewing Company first announced that it would be taking over the former home of The Press Room restaurant in Lancaster, located at 26-28 West King Street.

This transition announcement came just months after The Press Room had announced that it would be officially closing its doors on June 22, 2024.

Currently, the South County Brewing Company boasts two other Central Pennsylvania locations in Fawn Grove and York Township.

The brewing company had previously shared that once their third location in Lancaster opens, it will have a wide selection of South County’s craft beers and cocktails alongside a full menu of American pub fare specializing in BBQ and artisan pizza.

Additionally, the new location will host live music and have large party seating available.

Earlier this week, the South County Brewing Company confirmed that they are hoping to make their Lancaster debut in late March or early April 2025.

According to South County Brewing, the company was first founded back in 2011 by JR and Jen Heaps in Fawn Grove, Pa. Since opening its 29,000-square-foot flagship location in York Township in 2022, the brewery has welcomed over 400,000 guests a year.
