USA, MN: Foremost Brewing Cooperative to close its doors at the end of February
Another southern Minnesota brewery is closing its doors, Bring Me The News reported.
In a Facebook post on Monday, January 27, Foremost Brewing Cooperative in Owatonna announced its final day will be Friday, Feb. 28.
"This decision comes after careful consideration of our financial situation and several months of challenging business conditions," the post reads. "While we are immensely proud of what we've built together the friendships formed, the memories made, and the unique brews Terrence has created we must face the reality that continuing operations is no longer sustainable."
The brewpub will still host its annual BobFest on Feb. 22 and plans to remain open as supplies allows for one final week afterwards.
Anyone interested in buying the business is encouraged to inquire, according to the closing announcement. The property itself is listed by Colliers.
Other southern Minnesota breweries to close recently include Chaotic Good Brewing in Kasson and Mankato Brewery.
