India: India’s Ministry of Beer opens its newest outpost in Goa

India’s Ministry of Beer (MOB), one of the first craft breweries to open in Delhi, has opened its newest outpost in the coastal region of Anjuna, marking its official debut in Goa and expanding its presence beyond the National Capital Region, Asia Brewers Network reported on December 16.

The three-level brewery and dining space, which opened its doors recently, aims to merge craft beer innovation with a contemporary culinary approach, all set against the relaxed yet energetic backdrop of one of India’s most popular beach destinations.

The ground floor features the central microbrewery and bar, where patrons can choose from an array of handcrafted beers, each designed to reflect MOB’s signature brewing ethos.

This level, with its sleek yet comfortable design, invites visitors to enjoy informal gatherings, tastings, and casual meetups. Above it, the first floor offers a space dedicated to music, equipped with a DJ setup and dance floor to cater to the city’s vibrant nightlife culture.

According to management, the emphasis on music is intended to create an atmosphere that aligns with Anjuna’s reputation as a hub for parties and live events.

The highlight of the new establishment is the open-roof terrace which is designed to host a mix of events, from laid-back evenings to lively celebrations; providing versatility that aligns with the evolving tastes of patrons.

MOB’s menu at the Anjuna location has been curated to complement its broad range of brews, with dishes that pair with both traditional ales and experimental blends.

Established in 2015, Ministry of Beer now operates three outlets, including its flagship in Delhi. With its head office in India, the brand has embraced a franchise model featuring training and support, a payback period of about two years, and monthly royalties of 7%.
