EU: Malt exports start 2024/25 crop year on strong pace

The pace of European (EU-27) malt exports started the 2024/25 crop year on a rather strong pace, versus the previous three crop years, RMI Analytics said in their latest report.

Due to a recent slowdown in shipment pace during week #8, this year’s malt shipments have fallen below 2023/24 levels, but remain in alignment with 2022/23, and are still above 2021/22.

This early positive malt shipment pace is offering some slightly encouraging news, as it may be an early indication toward some form of malt demand recovery.
