Thanks to a series of strategies such as the modernization of its production centers, the promotion of initiatives to support customers and professionals or its sustainable progress, it has achieved its highest turnover to date: a 6.1% increase compared to 2022, in which it already set a sales milestone with 1,917.3 million euros, Tapas Magazine reported on April 18.
Translated into numbers: the increase was108 million euros in 2023.
Mahous sales amounted to 21 million hectolitres (+0.5%), of which 16.2 million hectolitres corresponded to beer (+0.4%), and 4.8 million hectolitres to its water business (+0.8%). Both managed to grow above the national beer sector.
2023 has been a very good year. We are very happy with what we have achieved, because we are a larger, more profitable and diversified company, said Mahou San Miguels CEO, Alberto Rodríguez-Toquero, during the presentation of the brewerys results.
From now on, Mahou will invest these profits in implementing its internationalization in Europe and the United States, specifically 50 million in order to expand San Miguel to more markets and continue developing the business in the future.
