Ukraine Barley crop in 2004: According to final data of State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Ukraine, 2004 crop of barley (both spring and winter) totalled 11.08 million tonnes in final weight at the yield 2.46 tonnes per hectare. Harvest area totalled 4.51 million hectares.

Barley crop harvested in 2004 was 62 % up from 2003 (6.83 million tonnes). Harvest area was cut from 4.6 million hectares in 2003. However barley yield considerably increased from 1.49 tonnes per hectare.
