Brewing news USA, MI: Heights Brewing to open its doors in Farmington on February 10

A highly anticipated brewery is days away from opening its doors.

Heights Brewing, 23621 Farmington Road, is hosting its grand opening Feb. 10, the brewery announced on February 8 on its Facebook page. The restaurant features 24 taps offering a rotating selection of beers, wine, hard cider, mead, hard seltzer, hop water and root beer.

Ryan Kavanagh, who owns the brewery alongside his wife Shawn MacDonnell, told Hometown Life in June 2023 everything will be made on site.

The restaurant's menu, including barbecue, is 100% gluten free. Select beers, along with wine, cider, seltzer and hop water also will be gluten free.

Kavanagh is a longtime home brewer and has experience working with such companies as Draught Horse and Dragonmead. He and MacDonnell are fans of Farmington’s downtown atmosphere and are excited to join its restaurant scene.

The building was formerly known as Page's Food and Spirits. Page’s closed in 2021 after being open for roughly 40 years.
